Anna

NOW:

Anna is finishing her Animal Science degreee at Montana State University. When she's not in school, she works 3 jobs (brewing coffee, working at a local daycare or teaching private horseback riding lessons). Anna also climbs at the local rock gym, plays piano and guitar and has written several wonderfully corny songs. In winter, she teaches cross-country skiing at Sun Mountain Lodge in the Cascade mountains of Washington. During the summer, you can find her on the breathtaking Oregon coast, directing the horseback riding program for YWCA Camp Westwind. After a 2-year-long battle, Anna has finally become the proud owner of Savannah (Chairman's Geeze Louise), a beautiful American Saddlebred mare. She is working hard to get herself and Savannah in shape for the show arena. Anna still thinks very fondlly of her time with Camp Tashunka, and wishes her ex-campers/students all the best as they venture forth into life. She'd love to catch up anytime: RA has her contact info. Bug him a little and give her a call.

THEN:

Anna is a 17 year old horse enthusiast whose imagination knows no bounds. She was first placed in a saddle at 18 months and has been hooked ever since. She greatly values the construction and maintenance of the intrapersonal relationship between horse and rider, and enjoys the challenge of bettering her horsemanship skills. Alongside working with horses, Anna loves to interact with children, especially in an instructive environment. Her love of nature couples well with her eager involvement in wilderness outfitting over the past 3 years. Outside of Camp Tashunka, Anna is a junior at the International Community School and studies hard to enter college in 2005. She hopes to pursue her love of horses throughout college. An avid vocalist, she sings in a competitive choir and loves music of all genres. Around the campfire, Anna is known for retelling her favorite book; The Neverending Story.
